Paris in Pictures: Misty Woodland

iron-man-croppedFor all of its charming boulevards, sprawling parks and gardens, and sidewalk cafés, there’s no disputing that the Eiffel Tower is the true landmark of Paris. Whether seen from a distance or beneath its steel frame, this icon is beloved by visitors, vendors and Parisians alike. Day or night, life around the Eiffel Tower sometimes defies explanation.

Misty Woodland of St. Petersburg, Florida, the winner of our September Paris in Pictures Photo Contest, illustrated this point perfectly in her winning photograph, taken from the Trocadero. In “Iron Man,” Misty explains that “the man was, I assume, intending to do tricks with the hoop but was standing around in the hot sun contemplating something instead.”

Congratulations to Misty, who will receive a beautiful Rose Camera Bag from Jo Totes as her prize. Our judges also loved a few of the other entries, so we’re sharing them with you, as well.
