Fresh flowers in Paris aren’t a luxury. They’re a part of the every day. Watching a bouquet being assembled is to see an artist at work. Like Michelangelo, who created incredible sculptures from blocks of marble, these floral designers find ways of creating a masterpiece from thin air. This is something this month’s Paris in Pictures photo contest winner Lesley Sico of Collingswood, New Jersey discovered while in a flower shop on the rue de Buci.
Congratulations to Lesley, who won a copy of 24 Hours Paris by Marsha Moore and a ParisienSalon.com tote bag. Lesley’s winning photo will also be featured in the 2011 Parisien Salon calendar, and now has a chance to win Photo of the Year.
The July contest is now open to new submissions. This month’s winner will win a tote bag and a gift certificate for one free class, workshop or event in Paris from P.S. Privé. For more information on how to enter, here.
