Five years ago, I started playing around with the idea of creating a website dedicated to all things Paris. At the time, though, I didn’t have a clue what I wanted that website to be. It was only during one of my extended stays in Paris—at a private party—that it all came together. I wanted this website to be like a grand salon in old Paris—a place where people came together and shared insider information. And thus was born Parisien Salon.
The website went live in June 2009 and, in the months since, we’ve found some incredible contributors for the site—people like Richard Nahem, Olivier Magny, Zeva Bellel, Susan Barbour, La Mom and the women at Haven in Paris. Because of these people, Parisien Salon became a resource for inside information about Paris. But we always wanted Parisien Salon to be even bigger. To offer more. And now it does.
Here’s what you’ll now be able to do on ParisienSalon.com:
To create a suitcase, click on REGISTER on the top nav bar and create your user profile. Once you’ve logged in, just click on the MySuitcase icon on any detailed listing or article. Any time you’re logged in, you’ll be able to click on MySuitcase to see everything you’ve saved.
There will be even more added functionality coming to make planning your trip and extending your Paris experience even easier. And if there’s a shop, restaurant, point of interest or activity you’d like to suggest, feel free to let us know. In the meantime, enjoy the new and improved Parisien Salon.

Be sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter! And sign up for our weekly e-newsletter (see the sidebar) so you can get the latest news.
Pack Your Paris Suitcase,
This is just wonderful and a great addition! I did just click on Register and the page “couldn’t be found”: don’t worry,I’ll try again.
And, I did just add a great tart shop, in my comment on the My Paris Favorites post…
Thanks!
Linda,
You are a genius!!! I read all your posts religiously (and have turned several friends in to fellow afficiondas)and so long to be back in Paris that it hurts. Parisien Salon helps and is spurring me on to get there as soon as possible. Now, you’ve made it so much easier. Amazing job (and writing)!!!
xoxoxo,
Elise
What a terrific service. Thanks so much. Just tried to register but received a ‘page couldn’t be found’ message. I’ll check back in a few days.
All of those pesky glitches have been ironed out. So go ahead-register away and start using the “suitcase” function now!
Genius indeed! How did you know that try as I may, I can never keep up with all the wonderful things and places I want to see and do on my next trip? This may help and I thank you! I love your site and have many “Paris Moments’ ( thank you Meredith) each time I visit.
Merci,
V
