Naughty But Nice in Paris

la-mom-parisBy La Mom, a P.S. Featured Paris Blogger

Ahh, Paris – the city of love.

Hey, I fell for it – with a backdrop of Notre Dame and a sparkling Eiffel Tower as petillante as the champagne in my glass, Big Cheese didn’t have to work too hard to woo me.

So how do women take advantage of all that Paris has to offer (*ahem*)? Luckily, travel journalist extraordinaire, Heather Stimmler-Hall, has written a guidebook for classy girls who consider France their oyster – a powerful aphrodisiac, bien sûr.

From exclusive lingerie shops to ultra-classy swingers’ clubs (oh la la!), Naughty Paris is a lady’s guide to the Sexy City.

Find out more about Heather’s sultry tips in La Mom’s exclusive interview!

What’s Naughty Paris all about?

Naughty Paris is a guidebook to Paris for the “Sex in the City” generation of women: they’re confident, mature, intelligent…and they want to have fun!

What inspired you to write the Naughty Paris guide?

I’ve been writing Secrets of Paris newsletter for eight years and have given tours for four years, so a lot of people have asked for this kind of information, both women and men. I thought that there was a real gap in the market for a travel guide to Paris that was more upscale and sexy than the average guidebook.

Did you do all the research yourself?

I visited every single location listed in the book, and even a few places that didn’t make it into the book! I also consulted a lot of French guides on the subject and interviewed friends (especially for the chapter on French men, which no one woman could possibly write alone!)

What’s the most surprising fact you discovered while writing the book?

That some things aren’t as shocking when seen or visited in context, but would definitely raise eyebrows if you tried talking about it at the family dinner table!

What’s your pick for Paris’ sexiest place?

Ooh, that’s a hard one. I really love the corset shops on the Rue Quincampoix, but bars like Flûte and the Curio Parlor are my favorite on dates.

naughty-parisWhat are your tips for women looking to sex up their lives back home?

The fastest way to feel instantly sexy is to buy lingerie and high heels that are only for the bedroom. Forget practical, go for wow! And I should add that women should pick the shoes and lingerie that turn THEM on, because if you’re turned on, your man will be too.

Is it true that Frenchmen are attracted to women of all ages?

Don’t think that age makes a difference in France. If anything, older women have an advantage here. French men love women with character and self-confidence, which is not quite developed yet for women in their twenties.
